The transition from sewing with roots to metal nails seem to have came about gradually between 1900 and 1920's in this isolated place, but the lines and design of the boats did not change, and nailed boats of the same type were still built there until 1980's. So the general design and building consequence presented absolutely no problem for the reconstruction, they were perfectly known from the experience of nailed "vodlozerkas" building.
