Fitting of the so called "sail deck"

It was the reconstruction of a sewing technique common in Russian Carelia up to the beginning of 19th century. The design of the boat built was traditional for the lake Vodlozero, and the boat, consequently, is called "vodlozerka" after the name of the place. It was the second version, built in August-November 1999 (the first was finished in 1996, see "Sewn boat homepage".)
